With Glorious Purpose

With the dew of their creation still wet upon their brows, the Wilden emerge from the Feywild’s unspoiled reaches, from ancient bogs and primeval forests. Awakened to combat the growing corruption plaguing the lands, they shoulder the burden of restoring the natural order and purging the aberrant horror from the world.

Like many Wilden, Shannahai has been a creature searching for purpose in this world. She knew that she had some purpose, or else the forest would not have awakened her and others of her kind. But one day she stepped into a filthy morass left behind by some great aberrant evil; the forest had simply decayed into sludge at it's touch. She felt anger as she never had before, and she could feel a great surge of magical power within her. She knew her purpose now. Shannahai spent what little money she had on armor, gear and food, and made hand carved a staff from a sturdy young tree. She went off on her quest, studying and practicing her druidic powers until she would collapse from the strain. But she would avenge this forest, and destroy the one responsible or she will DIE trying...

Yet another new DnD character because it is hard to keep a campaign running on campus working with 5+ peoples class schedules... This is for an all-primal campaign, meaning that all of us had to choose one of the primal classes for their new character, and I decided to make a Swarm Druid. I am very nervous about this, as I am supposed to be the team's tank/striker, and tank is definitely not a role I am used to...

Also, Swarm Druids are not unlike regular ones, they draw their powers from the same Primal force, they simply choose to manifest their beast form a little....differently.
One bear can be easily brought down, but how about a plague of locusts? A gang of rats?

Her preferred familiar is the mouse, a seemingly benign creature, and harmless enough by itself. But when in a swarm, they become a mass of gnashing teeth that few creatures can stand against.
